XXI lawyers conference Petar Simonetti

“XXI Lawyers Conference Petar Simonetti (Ownership – Obligations – Procedure)” organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka in cooperation with the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Notaries Chamber was traditionally held in the Hotel Diamant, in Poreč (Croatia), from 15 to 17 April 2015. With the purpose to cover a variety of legal areas, this conference gathered many important national experts, including four judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia Prof. Dr. Aldo Radolović, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mario Jelušić, Dr. Marko Babić and Dr. Duška Šarin, Prof. Dr. Silvija Petrić from the Faculty of Law of the University of Split and Ante Galić, President of the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia.

 

Within the conference session “Company Law and Financial Law”, four members of the Project Team presented the results of their research. In their joint presentation Prof. Dr. Edita Čulinović-Herc and Dr. Antonija Zubović presented current state of affairs related to the sale of shares from the Republic of Croatia portfolio. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nataša Žunić-Kovačević tackled the provisions and case law on taxation procedure aimed at establishing the abuse of right. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dionis Jurić, in collaboration with Sonja Marinac, Judge of the Commercial Court in Rijeka, Permanent Service in Pazin, discussed the Proposal of the Directive on single-member private limited liability companies.

 

The Project Team members provided the participants with an overview of their current research within this project and the project Protection of beneficiary on the Croatian and European financial services market, seeking to benefit from the public debate.
