Presentation at the ESD Conference in Warsaw
The 17th International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development “Managerial Issues in Modern Business”, organised by Varazdin Development and Entrepreneurship Agency in cooperation with Faculty of Management University of Warsaw and University North, took place in Warsaw, Poland, from 20 to 21 October 2016. While the conference had primarily economic focus, researchers from other scientific disciplines (e.g. law, political sciences etc.) also participated.
Member of the Project Team Stjepan Gadžo presented the paper Cross-border transfer of company’s seat and exit taxation in the European Union, co-authored by two other members of the Project Team, Prof. Dr. Nataša Žunić Kovačević and Prof. Dr. Dionis Jurić. Main aim of the paper was to analyse the limitations that primary and secondary EU legislation place upon Member States’ domestic provisions regulating cross-border transfer of seat, including the relevant tax provisions. Particular attention was also given to the legal framework in the Republic of Croatia, being the newest EU Member State.
