Three papers at the XXII Lawyers Conference Petar Simonetti
The “XXII Lawyers Conference Petar Simonetti (Ownership – Obligations – Procedure)” was traditionally held in the Hotel Diamant, in Poreč (Croatia), from 13 to 15 April 2016, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka in cooperation with the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Notaries Chamber. This Conference included presentations and discussions regarding different areas of law and gathered great number of respected national legal experts including Prof. Dr. Aldo Radolović, Dr. Marko Babić and Dr. Duška Šarin, judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ante Perkušić, Dr. Jadranko Jug, Damir Kontrec i Darko Milković, judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, Ante Galić, President of the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and judges of the same court Lidija Rostaš Beroš i Sanja Otočan. Among the participants there were also respected legal scholars from Croatia, Slovenia as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Within the conference session “Company Law and Financial Law”, four members of the Project Team presented the results of their research. In their joint presentation Prof. Dr. Edita Čulinović-Herc and Assistant professor Antonija Zubović presented proposals regarding the amendments of regulatory framework for delisting of securities from the regulated market. Prof. Dr. Nataša Žunić-Kovačević presented the results of the research in regard to previously issued Binding Tax Authority Opinions as a new institute of Croatian Tax Law. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dionis Jurić, in collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saša Prelič from the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor (Slovenia) and Sonja Marinac, Judge of the Commercial Court in Pazin, held a presentation on cross-border transfer of companies seat/registered office as regulated by The European and Croatian Law.
The Project Team members provided the participants with an overview of their current research within this project and the project Protection of beneficiary on the Croatian and European financial services market, seeking to benefit from the public debate.
