Study visits of members of the research team
From 1 July to 5 August 2015, two members of the research team, dr. sc. Antonija Zubović and Nikolina Grković were visiting students at the Law Department of the European University Institute in Florence (EUI) and at the University of Florence (UniFI), with the purpose of conducting research related to this project.

During her study visit, dr. sc. Antonija Zubović examined certain legal issues in corporate takeovers, especially the position of holders of non-voting shares. This study visit was also a part of her scientific and professional training as a Postdoctoral Researcher. As part of her doctoral research, Nikolina Grković studied the legal position of crowdinvesting platform manager, particularly in indirect crowdinvesting business model. Scientific training at a foreign research institution was also a mandatory obligation for Nikolina Grković within her PhD Programme.

The results of the researches by two team members served as bases for papers to be published in the Proceedings of the International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conference of Social Sciences (SGEM 2015), which are to be indexed in ISI Web of Sciences, Web of Knowledge. Dr. sc. Antonija Zubović published a paper in English titled “Position of the holders of non-voting shares in corporate takeovers – a comparison of Croatian and EU Law” (DOI: 10.5593/SGEMSOCIAL2015/B21/S5.082). As co-author with her PhD mentor and principal investigator of this project prof. dr. sc. Edita Čulinović-Herc, Nikolina Grković published a paper in English titled “Are crowdinvesting platforms managers of alternative investment funds?” (DOI: 10.5593/SGEMSOCIAL2015/B21/S5.065).
