Marijana Liszt is a practicing attorney-at-law since 2002 and is one of the three founding partners in the Law Firm Posavec, Rašica & Liszt. After graduating from the Zagreb Faculty of Law and obtaining a master degree in EU Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid, she completed the master studies in EU Law at the Zagreb Faculty of Law focusing on state aid law. In 2005, the Government of the Republic of Croatia appointed her as Head of the working group on Chapter 8 – Competition, in the framework of EU accession negotiations with Croatia. She is now a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka working on the topic of state aid law, in particular the public financing of the services of general economic interest. Her fields of expertise are competition law including state aid law, commercial law, company law, and sports law. She is a guest lecturer at the graduate and postgraduate studies of the Zagreb and Rijeka Faculties of Law, lecturer at various scientific and expert conferences and author of a number of scientific and expert articles in the fields of competition law and state aid law.
