Conference on economic integrations
10th International Scientific Conference Economic Integrations, Competition and Cooperation, organised by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka in cooperation with a number of Croatian and foreign education and scientific institutions took place in Opatija, Croatia, from 22 to 24 April 2015. While the conference had primarily economic focus, researchers from other scientific disciplines (e.g. law, political science etc.) participated as well.
Several members of the Project Team presented their papers at the conference. During the second conference day, at the session titled “Changing global competitive environment – theory and practices”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nataša Žunić Kovačević and Stjepan Gadžo presented the paper Proposals for reform of the agency permanent establishment concept: examination of BEPS Action 7. The third conference day and the session titled “Legal environment of the EU” saw the participation of five other team members. Prof. Dr. Edita Čulinović Herc and Nikolina Grković presented the paper Crowdfunding regulatory framework in certain EU member states. The paper titled Jurisdiction in Internet defamation cases and CJEU’s policy choices was jointly presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivana Kunda and Danijela Vrbljanac. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dionis Jurić presented the paper Legal forms of economic activities of foreign companies in Croatia.
The participation of the members of the project Team at this conference instigated interesting debates on interdisciplinary aspects with other participants.
