International award for a team member
European Academic Tax Thesis Award (EATTA) 2017 has been awarded to Dr. Stjepan Gadžo, member of the research team. This yearly award is given by the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP) and the European Commission (EC), for best doctoral theses in the field of European and International Tax Law. Dr. Gadžo received this prestigious academic award for his doctoral thesis titled “Nexus requirements for taxation of non-residents’ business income: a normative evaluation in the context of the global economy“, which he defended on 9 May 2016 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. The thesis was written under the mentorship of a research team member Prof. Dr. Nataša Žunić Kovačević.
As part of the EATTA 2017 award, Dr. Gadžo presented the main findings of his research before the EC officers, at Brussels, Belgium, on 23 October 2017.
