I. Kunda: EU law beyond EU border

team meber Ivana Kunda authored the chapter “European Union legislation: how far does it reach beyond the EU border?” in the book China’s One Belt One Road Initiative and Private International Law: Addressing Private International Law Concern, edited by Poomintr Sooksripaisarnkit and Sai Ramani Garimella, and published by Routlege, New York, 2018 (pp. 94-122). In this chapter author is debating about new tendencies in widening territorial scope of the European Union law, with particular emphasis on two selected areas: competition law and personal data protection law. These are crucial issues for all international and global actors  because they need to be aware of situations in which their activities will be captured by European Union law and within the competences of the European Union regulatory bodies.
